AltLayer announced the imminent release of ‘Autonome’ to accelerate the ‘Agentic Web’. The platform will facilitate the creation, discovery and deployment of autonomous artificial intelligence (AI) agents. Amid these developments, AltLayer’s token moved in the opposite direction of the market.
AltLayer introduced the AI-focused platform ‘Autonome’!
AltLayer, an infrastructure provider for Layer-2 solutions, introduced ‘Autonome’, an artificial intelligence-oriented platform. The Verifiable Agentic Web is a decentralised digital ecosystem where autonomous AI agents can be verified for integrity and trustworthiness and their interactions are securely recorded on-chain.
This platform will allow developers and decentralised applications to create self-managing ‘intelligent’ agents. It will also allow them to interact with them. ‘These AI agents will be able to think, act and make decisions independently and purposefully,’ the project said.
What will Autonome bring?
Unlike traditional AI bots, which are limited to following rigid, pre-specified instructions, Autonome agents aim to exhibit true autonomy, judgement and adaptability based on ‘personal values, principles and goals’, according to the team. Agents passively fulfil isolated tasks. However, beyond this, they aim to actively participate in the decentralised ecosystem. Thus, they aim to make informed decisions, collaborate and transact seamlessly with other agents.
These agents will work within the Trusted Execution Environment (TEE). This will guarantee users that their transactions are secure, verifiable and trustworthy. This is crucial for minimising trust in decentralised networks and for secure interactions. For example, in the DeFi sector, an intermediary deployed through Autonome can autonomously manage user assets, adapt to market conditions, rebalance funds and redeem tokens while aligning its actions with the user’s preferences and risk profile.

AltLayer hopes that autonomous artificial intelligence will become a key component of the decentralised, agent-driven future. It also expects it to transform the way users, applications, and other systems interact within Blockchain ecosystems. AltLayer has yet to confirm a specific launch date for Autonome. However, it has opened a waiting list for those interested in early access.
As you follow from Kriptokoin.com, in February, AltLayer announced that it raised $ 14.4 million in a financing round. This funding round was co-led by Polychain Capital and Hack VC. The project will spend the funding to expand AltLayer’s team and further develop its rollup infrastructure. This followed AltLayer’s launch of its native token ALT in January. It also followed the opening of airdrop requests that rewarded users who staked on Celestia and EigenLayer, holders of AltLayer’s NFTs, and participants in community campaigns. AltLayer then provided staking of its native tokens.
