Meanwhile, Pantera Capital participated in the FTX auction and purchased another 2,000 SOL tokens. Additionally, Pantera Capital participated in web3 gaming firm InfiniGods’ Series A funding round.
Pantera Capital rolls up its sleeves for a new cryptocurrency fund!

According to sources, Pantera Capital is looking to raise $1 billion for a new cryptocurrency fund. The fund, dubbed Pantera Fund V, will focus on seed capital, early-stage tokens and liquid tokens, among other assets, the source said.
Pantera previously sought to raise $1.25 billion for a second Blockchain fund in September 2022. The $1.25 billion fund and the $1 billion Pantera Fund V are separate, the source said. Pantera has $5.2 billion in assets under management in three funds. Meanwhile, Pantera has invested in more than 180 startups to date. In this field, it is one of the most active cryptocurrency investors.

Pantera Capital purchased additional SOL from FTX sale
Pantera Capital has acquired more Solana (SOL) tokens through FTX’s ongoing asset liquidation. This purchase is part of a larger effort to sell $2.6 billion worth of Solana tokens, a significant portion of which have already been sold in previous auctions. The price per token in this particular auction was not disclosed. However, according to sources, it is higher than previous sales despite its association with FTX. The giant investment firm bought around 2,000 SOL tokens in the sale.
Pantera Capital invests in web3 gaming firm InfiniGods
The investment firm took part in an $8 million Series A funding round for InfiniGods. Pantera Capital led this funding round. Pantera Capital praised the InfiniGods team’s efforts in web3 mobile games. It said that InfiniGods is transforming web3 mobile gaming into a more inclusive and accessible technology platform.

InfiniGods launched its first game in beta, InfiniMerge, in January 2023. The ancient Greek-themed merge game requires players to merge similar items or upgrades. InfiniGods is also developing other mobile games such as King of Destiny and Immortal Siege. InfiniGods stated that the financing provided by Pantera Capital enables the expansion of mobile gaming leadership and Blockchain infrastructure on a global scale.
