Musk created significant movements in the prices of DOGE and several meme coins with his social media posts. Therefore, he was at the center of criticism. Even a lawsuit was filed against him. Dogecoin fan Elon Musk: I am not promoting any crypto!
Tesla CEO Elon Musk, who is also a Dogecoin fan, participated today in the X Takeover podcast hosted by the Tesla Owners Silicon Valley account. Portions of this video of Musk speaking were reposted by various active members of the DOGE Army. In this podcast, Elon Musk answered a question about what he thinks about Bitcoin now and also about YouTube videos of him talking about Bitcoin two years ago.
When asked to share his current view on Bitcoin, Musk said that he thinks “there is value in Bitcoin and maybe some other cryptos.” Musk also admitted that he has a soft spot for the original meme coin Dogecoin, as he loves “dogs and memes”. However, Musk made it clear that he has no intention of promoting crypto, any crypto. He added that the most he can do is to do it “jokingly”. He also said that if anyone sees a video of him pumping crypto, it is a deepfake.
Some prominent accounts of the Dogecoin army started reposting Musk’s statement along with memes using parts of the animated movie “The Lion King”. This percentage, perhaps, perceived the statement as a “joking advertisement” for DOGE.
DOGE is the only cryptocurrency Musk actually supports
Elon Musk remains a big fan of Dogecoin, as evident from this podcast, although he hasn’t posted about it on X recently. However, Tesla and SpaceX continue to accept DOGE for merchandise in their online stores. Also, Elon Musk is still planning to launch the DOGE-1 lunar mission.

However, later on, his power to influence the meme coin price weakened considerably. Meanwhile, last week, Elon Musk’s X platform removed hashmojis for Bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies. So, when you add a crypto hashtag, it is no longer shown.
