Upbit added power to STG
In a development creating excitement in the Korean crypto scene, Upbit, the country’s largest cryptocurrency exchange, announced that it has listed the Stargate Finance (STG) token. The announcement made on their official website caused a sudden rise in the price of STG. According to CoinGecko data, the token jumped 70% from $0.48 to $0.81 following the listing news. STG trading will begin at 12:45 today and is currently traded in South Korean Won (KRW). Upbit stated that STG coin investments will only be accepted through the Ethereum network and warned users to avoid transfers from other blockchains.
Binance expands transactions
With Upbit dominating the headlines in Korea, global crypto giant Binance also announced exciting developments. The exchange announced that it has added two new trading pairs to the Spot market: NEAR/BRL and NOT/USDC. These listings appeal to users in Brazil (BRL) and the broader USD Coin (USDC) market, respectively. New listings begin today, May 30, 2024.
Additionally, Binance is also enabling “Spot Algorithmic Orders” and “Trading Bots” services for the newly introduced NEAR/BRL and NOT/USDC pairs to improve user experience. These features potentially facilitate investment activities by providing users with automated trading strategies.
