After receiving significant backlash for choosing not to speak at the Bitcoin Conference, Vice President Kamala Harris found an ally in SkyBridge founder Anthony Scaramucci. Former politician Anthony Scaramucci defended Kamala Harris’ crypto openness. He also compared her approach to Donald Trump’s past hostility towards Bitcoin. Scaramucci also suggests that the door will be shown for the SEC Chair.
Scaramucci: Be patient with Harris’ crypto strategy!
As you have been following on Kriptokoin.com, crypto advocates have long criticized the Biden-Harris administration’s approach to the sector. Although Vice President Harris recently won the support of the majority of Democratic delegates and became the party’s presidential candidate, her crypto policies remain unclear. Kamala Harris’ team has reportedly reached out to experts with crypto-related questions. This is seen as a positive change. However, Bitcoin Magazine’s CEO David Bailey’s tweet suggesting that Harris had decided not to speak at the Bitcoin Conference on July 25-27 sparked controversy.
Meanwhile, Trump’s aggressive courtship of the crypto asset class threatens Harris’ presidential campaign. Addressing this issue, Scaramucci criticized Trump in a recent post, calling him a “transactional person,” adding that his current pro-crypto stance is likely a strategic move for fundraising and support. He notes that Harris has shown openness to the industry and emphasizes that she did not drive crypto policy in the Biden administration.

Will the SEC Chair be fired?
The Wall Street financier also urged critics of Kamala Harris to give her the opportunity to develop her own strategy for the industry. He argued that Harris’ potential presidency should not be seen as an extension of Warren’s hostile attitude towards crypto. In fact, he believes that Harris’ approach to crypto policy could be significantly different from Warren’s, emphasizing the need to keep an open mind and avoid premature judgments. By advocating for a bipartisan approach, she believes that the crypto ecosystem will benefit more in the long run.
Anthony Scaramucci points out the lack of camaraderie between Harris and Senator Elizabeth Warren. He also predicts that if the former becomes president, SEC Chairman Gary Gensler could potentially be fired and Warren could be sidelined. In this context, Scaramucci says, “Let’s keep crypto bipartisan, it will be healthier for the ecosystem in the long run.” Interestingly, Scaramucci previously served as White House communications chief during Trump’s presidency. However, his tenure was short-lived and he was dismissed ten days later.
